If it were possible to sit through an episode of The Stooges without changing the channel one might find out.

Hey I never crashed two trains into one another (at least not on purpose)!

Yes, it is HO.

In fact, parts of the layout go back to Henry the VIII.

Oh a wise guy!!! I remember them being on a train in a sleeper a few times. Gets even funnier as it gets older. The curtain seperators and black and white film.

On another note show me a model railroader with DCC that doesn't have a little Gomez Addams in them!

To answer your question, Budliner, I'd have to say "Soitanly!". Actually, yes and no. I found the picture in a video catalog years ago which I cut out and saved for just such an application. The "Also Showing" and "Rhythm and Weep" signs I made on my computer. The front marquee signs for "East of Eden" starring James Dean and "On the Waterfront" starring Marlon Brando were also made on my computer and were big box office smashes for the time I model - the mid 1950's. That particular Stooges short, "Rhythm and Weep", was one of the last Curly made before his stroke and was released in 1946, making it technically unprototypical. By the1950's, Shemp's face would have replaced Curly's. While I like Shemp (vs. Joe or Curly Joe) it was just never as good without Curly IMHO. Sort of like the Andy Griffith show after Barney left. Since I had the picture and I like Curly better, I went with it.

Glad you enjoyed the photos, Porcupine. Now SPREAD OUT!

By the way I hope your comment of "That's BAD" was used in the vernacular! [:D]

I was just having a little fun with you Budliner. Please don't ever take my remarks like that seriously. As long as everyone understands what a person is trying to say, that's all that matters ([;)])...

This site http://www.3-stooges.com/text/shorts1.html lists all the various shorts (~190) the Stooges made (including the <shudder>Joe Besser<shudder> ones).
The most recent show with trains that was broadcast was 'Grips, Grunts and Groans', which starts with the Stooges as tramps, riding into town in a wood-sided boxcar (horse car? They didn't worry too much about realism), and are discovered by car-knockers (in this case two guys, apparently employed by the railroad, actually banging on the side of the rail cars with big wooden clubs, and of course eventually clubbing themselves uncouncious trying to capture the Stooges, who meanwhile hide in the gym where the real story takes place).
One great thing about the outdoor shots (more common in the earlier Curly era than the Shemp era - forget about the Joe(s) era) are seeing glorious classic Model A's, Chevys, Packards, and other vehicles of the 1920s/1930s (and, of course, often a beat-up Model T for the Stooges) in their natural habitat on the streets (or at least back-lot streets), as opposed to being stuffed and mounted in Museums or grazing on the grass at Antique Auto shows.

As you can see from the website I gave, the first short was the 'Woman Haters'. So...there [:D] !

Thank you chutton01. I greatly appreciate your contribution to the cause ([:D]).

Regards,

Just because you put the word "train" in a post doesn't make it train related. Good luck, Dave

I stand corrected... Thank you Dave. All I could remember is that it had woman haters in the title, and that sounded pretty close.

I remember seeing picutres of the stooges on UP passenger trains near my dad's old office before the new headquarters was built.

How's about "HE MAN WOMAN HATERS", their very first short, or the one where the monkey gets loose (not sure of the title but Curly was in it), or the one where the lawyer tries to run off with their inheritance and the lion gets after them (not sure of the title on that one either but Shemp was in it). Are there any that I've failed to mention ?.
