GO BNSF!!!!!!!!!! I do admit that i did not like the H1 scheme, H3, Swoosh, whatever, is cool!!!!!! Although I wi***hey stayed with the green. I have regretably not seen an H3 loco, though I have seen a H3 hopper!!!

Where did people get the idea it was Pullman green? Any modeler who has ever painted one knows it is much less yellow than pullman green (eg. Scalecoat #17 Pullman green vs. #45 Empire Builder green -- Floquil #414284 Pullman Green vs. #414227 Great Northern Empire Builder Green). In 1947 the railroad was specifically getting away from anything olive drab. Everyone was tired of the war and anything that reminded them of it, including all the pullman green that had been used on troop trains. Even the book "Great Northern color pictorial volume 1" incorrectly calls it pullman green!? why? And it is not the same green that was used in the Executive, or H1 and H2 schemes.

It is too straight and angular to be considered a swoosh. A swoosh would have some sort of curvature.

As for being called a "Heritage anything", since they've changed from green to black, what is heritage about it? The Orange from the old empire builder? One color hardly a heritage makes. Maybe they should call it the Halloween scheme?

To me it looks like they had a contest and selected something that a kindergartner or Lionel designer came up with, or maybe drunk executives on the back of a cocktail napkin. It has no class or imagination at all.

Wedgie – as in pull your under shorts up too tight. Puts the logo right where it belongs.

And actually the worst thing about it is what it represents. It is no longer the Burlington Northern & Santa Fe. The official name is just the letters BNSF. One more step away from any ties to the original railroads. 10 years from now people will be wondering what it stands for and asking about it, just like they are now asking about the meaning of CSX.

I also like the idea of putting the 01 on the side, but since that's not likely...yeah, I like the new one. The only one I don't like is Pumpkin.

I don't care what logo they use. It's that orange paint, that's burning out my retinas, they can lose.

Or, at least start putting a giant "01" on the sides of their engines....

Right on. The new logo symbolizes BNSF as a leader in rail transportation http://www.bnsf.com/employees/communications/bnsf_today/2005/01/2005-01-24-b2.html
