Hi Ed,

Micro Engineering makes no. 6 turnouts that basically conform to NMRA dimensions in both code 83 and code 70 rail sizes. It does not have a double-slip tunrout in its line.

So long,

Thanks guys, I got a little more information from the Loys Toys link. Do y'all know anything about the Micro Engineering Turnouts in HO Scale?

Also, does Micro Engineering make any double slips?

The Loys Toys website (www.loystoys.com) has a wealth of information on Peco turnouts.

Peco turnouts have a curve through the frog, so they aren't directly equivalent to standard turnout sizes. They also all have the same frog angle, which is roughly equivalent to a no. 5. Where they differ is in the lead, the distance from the sharp end of the points to the point of the frog, and this is what produces the short-, medium-, and long-radius sizes. The medium- and long-radius turnouts will both handle just about any HO scale rolling stock.

So long,

Andy

Peco seems to avoid the traditional numbering system for turnout angles - not sure why.
Their large-radius curved turnout serves a real need.

Ed:
The rail codes are 100 and 75.
Can't find my protractor for the turnout angles.

Would someone tell me the rail code, and turnout angle of HO scale PECO turnouts? I am thinking of using them for a new yard. Thanks - Ed
