QUIET PLEASE..

I use the Bachmann E-Z track, my railroad is almost complete and anybody that uses this knows that there is alot of vibrating of the track against the plywood.I would like to know is there any way to quiet the noise of the track when I operate the tarins.

Depending on the size of your layout 4x8 and such i would recommend you change over to homasote which is pretty sound deadening unless you have a massive layout then i would try putting cork roadbed strips under the track to isolate it from the plywood

Jeremy; there is a type of "drawer lining" material that's sold in hardware and home improvement stores that might help you..it's like a rubber mesh, but it's really a plastic, and comes in small rolls. I've seen both red & black. You just cut it to suit your track base.A lot of folks line metal toolbox drawers with this stuff.
It also keeps the EZ track from sliding around.

If you pin or nail down through the holes in your track bed, you'll bring back some of the noise, so it might be better to use some duct tape att the edges here and there and disguise it with scenery.

I have an O-guage layout with 6 trains that I run at the same time, One is a Souther Mountain 4-8-2 that weighs in at about 15 lbs. I used Cork roadbed and can run all trains without my wife hearing them upstairs. Its about as quite as I think it could get.

I have 1/2" Homosote over 5/8" plywood over 1" x 4"framing and the Bachmann EZ-Track nailed with Atlas track nails into the homosote only not the plywood and the only noise you hear is the click of the metal wheels over the track joiners. Probably to late for you to do anything like that, adding cork roadbed under the EZ track should improve the noise level quite a bit.
