2 weeks late but i thought you would like to see what the "big one" over here is like.
sorry about the poor quality of the pictures but the camera is old and it cant cope very well with the low light in the halls. also i waited untill later in the day to take pictures. a mistake as it gets dark at 3.30 in winter!

The large scale demonstration layout

One of the layouts

A Stirling single. (my favorate loco in the entire world! this is a 5" example. the maker was particularly freindly and talkative. obviously very proud. at the show i bouthe a kitmaster model for £45.00. it was a good deal but makes you sigh when it still has its origional pricetag on it for 95p!! it will the the subject of my next resin casting project.

The star exhibit. the EM1 woodhead loco. a little grubby but a nice loco. looked much better up at the york railfest where i got to go into the cab.

Various layouts

Gives you an idea of the size of the show. once again sorry for the poor light.
they had 22,000 people through the door over the 2 days. 12,000 on the first day so i heard. it was great for the last 2 hours when evryone had gone home and i could actually see the layouts!
