Atlas and BLI came out with a DC sound controllers for their sound-equipped locomotives and called them QARCs, which has the name of a sub-atomic particle (Quark). If they need to come out with a sound controller for the cattle cars, they could be called Muons ( Mooooooo-on).

With DCC you need to initially select the address (03). Then hit the mute function (8) and move the car. Then change to a unique address number to avoid conflicts with the next out-of-the-box 03.

If the door was open, maybe all the cows wandered off...?

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.

Since nobody seems to have an answer to this, I'll have a go at it. Seems very simple to me and easy to fix. Load some cattle in it. It seems plain to me that a new cattle car straight out of a box would not have cattle in it and that an empty cattle car would not have any mooing coming out of it unless of course it was haunted and I doubt that since halloween was some time ago. [:o)][(-D][(-D] Sorry, the door was open.

Has anyone had problems getting sound out of BLI's 828 Stock car w/ cattle sounds? I have an NCE system and it didn't work straight out of the box,
