Friz Freleng. The names of those who worked on the cartoon appeared quite often in the cartoons. Another tweety cartoon had a Drink Friz poster on the side of a building.

Unfortunately my Looney-Tunes collection is only complete up to 1948, or I would just watch it for the credits... I do know Bugs Bunny went technicolor in 1950.....

I don't think it would be as good a gag if is was one of the animated characters so that eliminates Bugs and Daffy.

Friz Freleng was a producer and Carl Stalling was the music director. So I'll guess the animator was sucking up to the boss and put his producer in. That is unless the big trunk was music related (like a drum case or something?)

Friz....

Welcome back, Lotus! I have no idea, but I guessed Daffy. It is most likely Bugs, though.

I voted Friz Freleng. For some reason, he sounds the most official out of that group.
