Hobby quality Proto locomotives???

I believe that the SW8 is part of the Proto2k line, which is generally well thought of. Perhaps not "first tier" but firmly in the top of the second tier at the very least. Get it quick before the prices jump - the latest run of these locomotives saw the prices go through the roof in the $145 range (retail).

Oh, I'm sorry - just saw your signature. I have no idea how well thought of the N scale versions are.

hey guys! so today i made my Christhmas list for my grandparents. I put on it a Boston and Maine SW8 switcher by LL they called it hobby quality proto series are they nice engines????? Thanxs in advance Tim
