Tsunami quit accepting CV changes ???

Very Interesting. I'm glad the problem was resolved. I am planning to get the NCE Pro System and I am glad to hear that it works well with Tsunami.

SOLVED!

Just talked to Brian at Soundtraxx. Had him stumped for a while, until he realized that while I had been playing with CV 115 (whistle select) I had accidently changed CV 15 (to lock-out further CV changes). He had me set CV 15 back to zero and all is well!

Once again, "fat fingers" did me in!

I have one of those heavy steam decoders on order, and will be watching to see what you find out from SoundTraxx. I will try programming mine with an EasyDCC system, but have been thinking about ordering an NCE Wireless PowerPro system for a club layout, so I am definitely interested in hearing of your experience.

That is a booster for use on a programming track. With a PowerPro, you don't really need a programming track, unless your decoder won't support changing things like addresses on the main, or you don't know what it's address is (although it is handy to read what's in a CV if you've lost your notes). I hope not to have to spend the money (rather buy another Tsunami!) And the Tsunami did accept CV changes on the main, for a while at least.

Yes, I tried setting CV 30 to 2 (to return to defaults), both on the main and on the program track, but nothing happened. I guess if it won't accept CV changes, it won't accept the CV change to reset, either.

Not familiar with Tsunami, but I had to do this after I had troubles with an LC series Soundtraxx Decoder. After this it's been working fine.

Just got my first Tsunami (heavy steam). Seemed fine for a few minutes, then stopped accepting programming!

All operations seemed fine -- direction, lights, sound, etc.

Using NCE Powerhouse, couldn't read on program track (which I don't much use anyway), so programmed on main, with cab plugged-in (not on radio). Set address, then started fooling with whistles. Changed CV 115 3 or 4 times ok, but now can't change ANY CV, either on main or program track. Everything on cab looks fine, just nothing happens.

Tried powering-off, setting CV30 to 2 (both ways), powering-off again, etc., but no change. Noted headlight still working fine, including while trying to program on main -- manual says it'll flash if decoder detects a problem.

Also tried programming another engine (with Soundtraxx), just to make sure I hadn't somehow blown the command station -- worked fine.

Back to Tsunami, still no luck. Runs fine, but can't program.

I'll call Sountraxx tomorrow, but has anybody else seen this? Got any ideas?
