Art,

Not sure how help full this is but....I did see the diorama of these kits that BTS had at the Narrow Gauge convention last year. Beautiful stuff. Looks better in person than it does in the ads.....

In credible pics maandg. Thanks for the links. I think you have convinced me. I am waiting to see if others had as good a time with them. Being as good an artist as you are does help, I am sure.

Art,

I have built most of the structures in the McCabe series. My Hines Lumber Company includes the BTS Planing Shed, Drying Kiln, Sawdust Shed, and Tramway/Storage yard. They are an absolute joy to build and look fantastic!! If I hadn’t already built a Keystone Band Saw Mill (which I heavily modified) I would have definitely purchased the new McCabe Saw Mill. It looks most impressive!

I have also built a BTS Hyde Pulp Mill which is one of the highlights of my MA&G layout.

Are the BTS kits worth the cost? IMHO I think they are a bargain for what you get.

I have an entire photo album on my website for my Hines Lumber Company if you are interested. The R.L. Graves (BTS Hyde) Pulp Mill is in the “Edna” album.

I highly recommend the BTS kits. I know you’ll love ‘em!!

Time to expands the lumber camp. Looked at the JV Boyd camp and the BTS McCabe stuff. Has anyone built the BTS kits to advise to if they are worth the extra cost?
