I have access to the correct equipment, and I would not attempt to repair it.

I do not know the answer your question, but I do have another one for you; do you have access to a small pencil type electronic soldering station with ESD grounding?

Are you sure that you did not damage the board ? The wires are soldered well to the board, and mechanical removal would damage the board.

My recommendation is to buy another decoder, rather than trying to safe this one. The effort is just not worth the $15.

I have managed to pull all the wires out of one of my decoders. I'd like to not to have to open up a good one to see the wires... Anyone have this info?
