if that's what you call a mess i'd hate to hear what you call any wiring job i've ever done . that's the prettiest wiring i've ever seen , and i spend a fair amount of my work time with my head stuck in client's computer network closets

what i'm working on this weekend is an MDC old timer 2-6-0 kit that i purchased back in 1994 (still has the price tag on it) . it's going ok , having some troubles getting the drive mech. to move without binding but i think i've got that almost worked out and i've got the motor isolated from the frame so dcc installation should be ok . i'm disappointed in the paint job though . i gave the metal frame a good cleaning , sprayed on primer from a can and then baked it in the oven as the instructions said . then i brushed on grimy black with some engine black added (i don't think grimy is dark enough) , but as i work with it the black paint is coming off . i think i'm going to have to repaint it then do a spray of dullcoat to protect it before finishing the running gear

It was scratch built to match the layout. It was about 4 months off and on to build. Thanks. I also did a steel girder bridge.

bgardner2 - nice curved trestle. Kit or scratch? I'm getting ready to start one. Pics in a year. This is a week I started stuff. Nothing to take a pic of. Maybe next week.

I was working at the place where my dad works and noticed that there was some flexible tubing there. I asked my dad if I could have a little, so he cut off about 2 inches from a spare tube. When I got home, I tested to see if it would fit the shafts on my Challenger, and it was a perfect fit!!!!![:D][:D] I now finally have my Challenger back up and running again!![:D][:D][:D] I needed the tubing because I used some thin plastic tube before and it broke after a few days.

Well...I have Cyanoacrylate adhesive, so now I just need a good hobby knife set, and I'll be good to go.[^]

The original plan was to go the the Dayton Train Show but instead I left work early one day last week (loosing all my overtime) and went to hear Tom Griffin, a member of Doolittle's Raiders talk about his experiences in the war. I love living in a collage town.

What I will really be doing this weekend is yard work and track planing.

No weekend projects for me. Today is yard work and football. Tomorrow I have other projects planned.

If I do find some time, about the only thing I will do is check the wiring on a couple of switch machines.

I'm restoring a bunch of service structrues and building for my passenger yard at the club. We have an open house in two weeks.

No pictures, just yet. I'm just hacking up an old Bachman wide vision caboose, to turn it into a bay window caboose. It'll be freelanced, and probably won't look as good as any comercially available bay window caboose (of which there are few, in N scale) but it'll give me something to do while the scenery is drying.

Ok, here we are again another weekend. This time I have a couple of pic's from last week and my next project[:D]!!
I have come very close to finishing my Rio Grande GP-40, sorry I did'nt fini***he # boards on the back but it'll come[:-^] later. Now I am starting on an old Athearn U28-C(10 bucks on eBay and runs like a dream!![:D]). It's currently painted for Southern Pacific and I need a Cotton Belt engine......not a tough job, and it's a lot cheaper than buying a new one[^].

After decals..New Numbers coming too.
