Howdy ya'll,

Wow, not used to seeing blue...

I'm usually over in the railroading forum, but now I'm doing a sitewide search. For those who don't know me, I attend Widener University outside of Philly PA. I have noticed a car near where I park my truck in the ACN lot with a trains.com bumper sticker(where can I get one of those by the way) and some model railroad club stickers as well. It's on a silver volvo and I'm just wonderin who it is.

Well I cannot help you but I will say this.
When I went to college (more years ago than I care to mention here) I was convinced I was the only model railroader or railfan in the entire university, even though the enrollment was something like 12,000,
Knowing what I know now, I am sure there were dozens maybe hundreds of others. I never did a thing to make my interests be known -- thought it was too dorky or something, I guess. I bet I missed out on friendships and some good railfanning friend activities because Oshkosh, where I went to school had some very interesting railroad activity back then. A railfan buddy would have been just the thing to get me to explore it more than I did.
So I guess my advice is to take the initiative and leave a note on the person's car. They wouldn't have the bumpersticker if they didn't want it to be noticed and reacted to. Right?

Got a note in my wallet already for the next time I see the car, just wonderin if he or she ( :) ) was a frequent poster on some of these other forums I don't visit.

Everybody around this campus knows me and my interests I think. Kinda hard not to notice a dude ridin a 4x4pickup in a lot of fourbangers. Or wearing shorts and a teeshirt all year round with my big azz hat.
