You need at least a 14 volt bulb to handle the straight dc from your transformer. I got mine from radio shack. Can't remember the number but just go looking in their catalog for very small 14 volt bulbs, with wires. They make them.

I will put an DH121 into my Athearn SD40-2 locos.
What size light bulb should I order because I want to keep the cab lighted.
