Trainfreak I'm not sure where you are located but I belong to a model railroad club in Winchester, VA. We're having our 25th annual train sale on November 12th and we also will have an open house of our club layout the same day if you are interested.

Turned out good for me - see my post int he Layouts section.

I got to meet Chip and Mark (Adelie). Maybe next time we can organize an even bigger meet up.

Well, glad to hear that you two had a good time. I remember my first train show. I went there with intentions of only spending $25, but spent over $50, and leaving with some great stuff. Every train show I go to, I don't leave with much money left.

Too bad I'm not in the Carroll County area anymore, I probably would have gone myself, but I need to wait for the Cumberland one, since that is now closer to where I am located. I hope to get some good stuff there, because the last Timonium show I went to wasn't as great as the previous ones.

My wife and I went to our first big train show today at Timonium and really enjoyed ourselves. We had been to a Greenburg show but it was half dolls and toys. It was really neat to see some of the older products that aren't made anymore and the craftsmanship on a lot of buit-up buildings. There were also some very inventive uses of technology in model railroading as well. It is a 2 1/2 hour drive for us each way so I'm not sure that I would go every time but at least once or twice year for sure.
