Tony's offers all sorts of locomotives with decoders installed, if you do not want to do it your self.

The only manufacturer who installs decoders in their locos is Atlas. They have dual mode decoder which you must reverse, a process that takes about 30 seconds.

Most other contemproary manufacturers (Proto 2000, Athearn Genesis (but not ready to roll or kits), Kato, Bachmann Spectrum are now manufacturing DCC ready locos meaning that to convert them to DCC, all you have to do is plug in a decoder. The prices of decoders keeps coming down, so I hope you have fun!

Currently in the process of converting to HO scale and would like to have locomotives with the decoder all ready installed or plug and play. Mainly intrested in SP/SF/WP EMD (F3/GP/SD) or Steam.

Is there a list of (HO)locomotives with DCC Decoders installed in them?

Is there a list of locomotive that are DCC (Ready/Compatible eg.. NMRA Plug or board swap)?
