I ordered the MRC Diesel sound system, not the one that has the 2 speakers, but the single speaker unit,

I haven't picked it up yet, plan to first of next week.

Not sure the 2 speaker set is tied in with the power pack, but it seems like I read somewhere it did, but the site doesn't state that.

EMT or it could be DragonRider has the first one, he seems happy with it. My plan is to hook it up to a sub-woofer and better speaker down the road. Maybe pickup the otherone as a background unit as well as their City sound unit.

When I pick that up at my LHS and get it going I will try and post a review.

The Soundtrax is for DCC, what about DC systems?

Yes, a cheap DSD 100 LC from Soundtrax. That and the speaker system will set you back a few dollars and if you intall it yourself, that is all you will need. The chuff rate is not fully synchronized, but it is passably close in the lower-mid speeds.

Does the MRC Sound Station 312 have the capability to slow down and speed up the "steam chuff" sound effect?

Does anyone have positve or negative comments about this MRC Sound Station 312?

Is there something better/affordable out there?
