But, Bob, where's the fun in a pre-assembled piece?? The challenge of these kits is part of the FUN of model railroading. And, if the availability of BB kits continues to decline, then kits like this are going to be one of the few left for modelers to get their hands dirty on........
I like these signs myself. I am fairly certain that most of them are out of the time period for the OMRS, but I may get on of the "billboard" types, just to put one up on the layout somewheres.....[8D] A nice job, jon....a well put together scene!!

I have used a few Bar Mills products and found them very nice.
I agree with bukwrm about the scene, it is well done.
Bukwrm don't worry about how high the bar is set, remember we were all beginners once and looking up at the bar. Just keep working and someday some one will say that you set the bar to high.
BTW that bar keep going up every year.
When I started in this crazy hobby 35+ yrs ago I thought that the bar was to high but now the work I did back then is very crude compaired to today.
The hobby gets better every day.

There is no such thing as a bad day of railfanning. So many trains, so little time.

The sign is nice but that is without a doubt one of the best thought out and excited scenes I have ever seen. Great work. You really set the bar high for us beginners.

Bar Mills laser-cut sign
Posted by jon grant on Sunday, September 25, 2005 11:22 AM
I got one of these lovely little kits made up this weekend. It's a Bar Mills laser-cut wood sign, which took longer to put together than I expected. I had a bit of difficulty getting it as most seemed to be out of stock at the time.
