I usually see these at train shows. Usually seems to be a dealer or two with a bunch and several others with a few.
Good Luck

Fun to build, if not time consuming. My local hobby shop has a lot, give Railroad Hobbies a call at 208-453-9211, he gets a lot of sales to people that aren't local. I built the station and was very impressed with it. I have noticed that the harder to build the more expensive. My IHC gas station took an afternoon and cost 12 bucks, my Campbell station took 3 months and cost 90 bucks.

Umm did you build the ones on your layout? I've always thought the only difference between a Cambell kit and scratch building was the plans and that they had all the raw materials in the one box. The first time I opened one and saw what it contained I laughed. Even more so because of the price.

Also check into Muir Models. Suydam also has a few western buildings.

The Campbell Model structure kits seem to be the best fit for my theme.

I already have 3 or 4 of their structures in my layout. Unfortunately I have had a difficult time locating the kits. Seems Campbell has some family issues and temporarily not putting out their products.

I tried scratch bulding but am not very good. I prefer kits. Other companies have some good structures but not alot. I am specifically looking for these items.

200-355 - Firehouse
200-365 - Laundry and Cigar Store
200-366 - Drug Co & Barber Shop
200-398 - Doctor's Office
200-381 - Farm House
200-382 - Barn
200-430 - Carriage Works
200-434 - Tobacco Shop
200-456 - Gun Smith
200-370 - Supply Shed / Hand Cart House

What do you suggest to get the word out or where for me to look for these items. I have had an backorder on internettrains.com since June. Any ideas would be greately appreciated.

Any Campbells kits I ever put together, Were like scratch building, almost. Just about everything has to be cut to fit, sanded, and painted.. The only real differences were the price tag and a set of instructions with templates. Keep in mind that a lot of western buildings were Fronts. That is, a general box on the rear perhaps with some windows and the only decorative parts were what was seen from the street..

To find them, you might try USNET Rec.Models.Railroad and place a WTB ad with your list.. If you don't have a newsgroup account you can get to it via Google but your post will take several hours to show up.

Good luck,
Jeff

I got most of those on eBay. Took my time and got good prices. There are a couple old west layout here. I just posted a topic that shows a work in progress. Also 4 x 8.

I have 3 Campbell kits that are out of production but certainly might help your layout as well. If you want you can email me.

Cmhill,
Send an Email to:

DuncanBCampbell@aol.com

I don't believe it's family problems. The Campbells of Durango, CO, have sold their business to Duncan whom though he shares the same last name is not a relation. He is busy working down the backlog of orders, but will respond and
has started advertising in a small way. No Web site yet.

Scale Model Hobby shop in St Paul has a lot of these. I have seen a lot of Cambell at flea markets. I see some on Ebay, but I suppose you have already tried these sources. Good luck.
