Great News.........
Posted by Rotorranch on Monday, October 3, 2005 11:56 AM
A couple weeks ago, after I posted this, I emailed SEPTA to inquire about getting a token. The one I had was a solid gold colored token, and the new ones are a composite, silver and gold colored.

I just got a reply today from a lady at SEPTA. She found an old gold colored token, and is sending it to me FOR FREE!!![:D]

Thanks to Peg Maguire at SEPTA for her efforts![:)]

Thanks guys!

polizi...I'll check out the web page!

I sure miss having my token. I also lost my Chattanooga ChooChoo smashed penny, but figure I'll get back up there to get another one soon!

The you go, the internet to the rescue again (Thanks Al Gore and of course polzi!). Probably less expensive, but not as scenic.

You might just have to climb aboard Amtrack and head East young man head East! (That is South East Pennsylvania Transit Authority is it not?)

SEPTA tokens are tough to find in my neck of the woods--I can offer you a SF MUNI or Los Angeles Railway token if they are the same size--sometimes the same sized token can get you on the car! Unfortunately I need all my Sacramento PG&E tokens in case they re-open the T Street line!

checking eBay....

Bingo!

For about 10 years I've had a Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority token in my pocket, on the off chance I'd ever get up that way to use it! [;)] I'm not even sure where I got it from!

Not long ago, while throwing a pocket full of change into the Shriners bucket, I guess I tossed my token into it as well!

Would anyone from that area be able to send me a new one? My pocket feels empty without it!
