Which model is it?

Years ago I bought an Athern EMD switcher that they
billed as SW1500 which it wasn't. It looked more like either the SW1200 or SW900 but while checking their website I saw a picture of their SW700 which looks more like the one that I have. Does anyone have a way to tell which switcher this really is? It has dual stacks, single headlights and the side handrails are attached to the hood rather than on the runningboard. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Bob

The original Athearn switcher was the SW7. Note the lettering gap between the louvers on the side of the hood. This was common on NW2s and SW7s. The Athearn unit has the full front radiator so it is an SW7, as the NW2 had only a half radiator.

Thanks Ed. This clears up a lot. One more question-was there much difference aside from horsepower between the SW7 and the SW9? The reason I ask is I just checked my model and there is no lettering gap in the louvers. They run from just above the running board to just below the handrail. Is there anyplace I can find photos or drawings of these units? Thanks again-Bob
