track paint that conductes elecricity
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, January 20, 2003 5:45 PM
i know about painting rails and stuff, but for sidings having shiney railheads like everything else just doesent work for me. i have seen in MR magazine that some company came out with a paint for steam locos wheels and linkage, which doesent inhibit the flow of electricity. im woundering if anyone knows what company this is and if they produce a simmilar product for track. if so, i would realy like to know of who they are! thanks

You might try doing a web search for "conductive paint" or the like. I personally would just put with the shiny railheads, but it soulds like a neat detail if it doesn't degrade performance.
