I can't think of a better place to live than across from a busy track. :)

I live several miles from the nearest railroad track now, but when I was a kid, my buddies and I use to make sack lunches and walk down to the tressle about a mile from my house and climb up on top of the railroad's rock pile that was about 20 feet high so we could see the trains coming way off in the distance. We'd sit up there all day sometimes if it wasn't too hot or cold, and talk about what we were going to be when we grew up. Of course none of us ended up being what we said we were, but it was a lot of fun at the time.
