Road Trip to Rexhea's House.
Posted by grandeman on Saturday, August 20, 2005 6:39 PM
Hi all. Today LGM and I accompanied cjcrescent and his friend (sorry William, I don't know your screen name) to visit Rexhea. Rex, thanks so much for your invitation and for being such a gracious host. We had a blast! Now for the hot news, Rex has an AWESOME RR! It's construction is coming along nicely. The trackwork and completed scenery are first rate and a real pleasure to run trains thru. Rex and CJ have been very busy and it shows. Rex, send me a bill for all the locos LGM wore out while we were there. [:D] He loved every minute of it!

Well, ya'll know I took a few pics.[:D] Without further delay, here we go.

OPS!!! Cjcrescent during a "Kodak moment"...

Power on tap at the engine terminal as viewed from "the Pit".

Jose gets an *** chewing from the First shift maintenance supervisor for his second screw up today. The "I don't know how it happened" story is getting old...

Baldwin switcher at the US Steel plant.

Cjcrescent's pride and joy. Awesome engine! Hey CJ, is that an eagle I see there? (inside joke)

GM&O power on display.

Looking down the turntable.

Man, we had a great time and Little Grande Man took to the throttle and ran consist all over the place like he had been here before. Dad, I believe we could both learn a lot from him. [;)] Thanks for all the compliments guys.

Thought I would re-post this photo since it goes along with what Grande man has posted. (if you can handle it [:D] )

You know Rex, if I didn't know better and had to judge model railroaders from that pic alone, I'd think that you had to have that "Hollywood Look" to play the game...[:D]

Ahhh...I don't know Grande Man, but it kind of looks more like a line up. [:O]

Oh, just a comment about CJ and his mishap. he has been going to locomotive engineer's school for quite some time. Guess what his final grade was? [:-^]

The only thing missing from the steamer in the pit was a slew of white shirts standing around pointing [:)]

Great Pix Eric. I know we all had a ball. I told Rex that we ought to call the picture of me "The Pit Boss". Oh, be sure that we keep the white shirts outta this if ya don't mind!

Hey all. Here's a few more pics....

Another shot taken at US Steel.

And another...

A different angle of the roundhouse. I wish I'd taken this as a high res and cropped it due to depth of field issues but you get the idea.

Hi Tom. It's the same old elcheapo Sony Cybershot I've been using. To much needs to be done on our RR right now (new DCC system, signal/electronics, staging yards) to spend the $$$ on a new camera.

I just found one last pic (that's usable, some didn't come out well). Also, BTT for the Sunday afternoon crowd. [:D]
