Trying to locate former Publisher/editor
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 10:48 PM
As a boy I had a school mates whose Dad was the publisher and possibly the eidtor of this magazine. This would ahve been in the 1970's in Evanston Illinois. His name was Frank Ladd and I am trying to find his son Tom Ladd. There was a younger son Jeff, I was thinking hoping that he/they might still be active in model railroading. any help locating Tom would be greatly appreciated.

What magazine are you speaking of? Frank Ladd was never editor or publisher of Model Railroader or any other Kalmbach publication I am aware of.

While I can only assume your reply was somewhat annoying to TimBa, I have to admit that it made me laught out loud. [:o)] Well done!

And wouldn't you know it, as I'm laughing at your remark, the phone rings! Doah! Good thing it was only our Trains News Wire correspondent (you know what I mean, Dave). I sent him a link to the thread to show him what I was laughing about and he got a big kick out of it too.

As for Frank Ladd, I'll ask around the office Tim to see if anyone recalls.

Thanks you, sir. I'm glad to have been of service.

(and my apologies to TimBa...isn't that what you yell when you chop down a tree?!)
