BLI Mikado lattering help

Tom,
Thanks for the advice. I already figured out the lettering removal. I wetting the lettering with microset and rubbed the lettering off with a pencil eraser. worked like a charm! Im re-lettering the engine for CPR as well, using CDS decals. My only problem now is, how do I***ch this engine with one of my old Mantuas and convince my boss that the mantua is his engine?

BTW, you must be pretty close, I live in the OK valley as well.

Ihave a BLI Mikado decorated for C&O I wanted CPR. I tried the Pine Sol As suggested on this forum- all it did was make it smell funny. I air brushed the tender with Poly Scale Steam Power Black. IT's a perfect match for the paint BLI uses. I just removed the tender shell it pulls right off.

My boss has just given me a BLI Mikado, not to keep but to re-letter. (Beautiful engine BTW)
It is currently lettered for Pennsylvania and I need to fingure out how to remove the lettering off the tender . Anyone out there do this before? I'm thinking of trying letterset or solvaset.[?]
