G&W paint colors:
Black - Floquil Engine Black
Orange - Floquil Reefer Orange
Yellow - Floquil Reefer Yellow
Now that's too good to be true! No paint mixing? What an easy paint job!
Have fun.

Hello custom painter,
Can you give me a mixing formula to match the colors on the Genesee & Wyoming family system scheme? Orange, yellow and black. Or is the black a dark, dark green?

Did Chris reply to these inquiries directly? I would also be interested in the information.

Paasche Model H Single action airbrush is the way to go. They are easy to maintain, easy to get parts for, relatively inexpensive, and they are indestructible. The more expensive double action airbrush can be very useful for weathering, but for paint schemes, go with the model H.

I have an MDC/Roundhouse 2-6-2 Prairie. What is the best way to prime and paint the zinc parts? Will Floquil zinc chromate primer work the best? What is the best way to prep the surface? Thank you for your help. You can email me back at basman24@yahoo.com.

Chris,
I'm delighted to see your posting. I have an HO E7
Diesel, measures 9"long, in Southern Green & White. Would like to have it repainted in early amtrak colors similar to the EMD F40PH in the Walters catalog, by Walters Trainline. It does not
have to be perfect, and at 120MPH wwhizzing by no-
body can tell. If you wish, you may also reply to
me at locomotive3@prodigy.net, my name is Chuck Walsh and I live in Grand Rapids Mi

I'm seeking a skilled O-gauge train painter for Rock Island items. I have several pieces done by a fine craftsman, but he is out of the business now because of chronic disability.
I collect RI exclusively, and I want to fill in gaps in my collection by buying new models of certain diesels, sacrificing the "stock" paint job, and repainting it Rock Island as prototypically as possible.
If RI is of special interest to you, I'd like to hear from you.

I have a question. What, in your opinion, is the best brand of airbru***o buy? And what kind?

Chris,
What are your rates, I have some brass pieces that I'd like to have painted. I have 2 HO steam engines both D&RGW, a 4-8-2 & 4-8-4. A UP 0-6-0, UP GP9, UP CA-1 caboose. I also have a UP GP9B which is painted but needs a little fix, some grey paint is where some yellow paint needs to be.
I live in Salt Lake City, Utah.
