Wayne: I think David is on to something. What is make & model of power pack ?
It may be that your previous track plan had some attribute that precluded an electrical problem with this power pack.

David:
Thanks for the reply.
This pack has two control knobs and is intended for running two cabs. I have used it before with no problem with Atlas Selectors.
I just can't figure out why, all of a sudden, it won't work. I guess a simply solution might be that something is wrong inside the pack, but I was wondering if there is anything else I should look for?

I don't know the pack in question, but I have a suspicion. Is it one with two control knobs?
Are you using the Atlas "Selector" that requires common rail wiring?
It may be that the power pack has a single transformer powering both cabs. Wiring a common rail then setting the cabs for opposite dirctions creates a short through the common rail.

I have an MRC Tech II which has been working fine. I recently tore up my old layout and am contructing a new one.
When I try to wire to two cab control as shown in the Atlas wiring book I get no power at all, even right on top of a terminal track. I have used cab control before with this pack without problem.
Each cab seems to be working fine individually, I can get power to any block with either cab separately. But when I wire for dual cab control I get nothing.
Any ideas.
