It is a great feeling. And with my 5Mp digital camera, the shots are perfect for background wallpapers.

Very cool! I had a blast on my first railfanning trip too. And, just as you did, I railfanned CSX! Great feeling, isn't it?

Awesome pictures!!!! Really. I like those old Budd cars, and the turntable, to bad they are not used so much. I have a turntable located about an hour away from me in Dunsmuir, CA. It was part of the old roundhouse, the roundhouse burnt down several years ago, but the turntable is still there and operational! I am pretty sure UP uses it too.

Brunswick Railfanning

I just recently went out for a two hour railfanning trip to Brunswick's CSX/MARC yards. This is convienently located no more than 20 minutes away from our new home. I had a ball taking these pictures, and I hope you enjoy them.

A pair of CSX locomotives, resting on a siding.

An older CSX Burro crane in the yard, it looks as though it hasn't been used in a while.

These were the coolest in the yard, and definately not used in a while. These B & O RDC Budds were growing vines on the other side.

More CSX diesels waiting for duty.

A fleet of MARC motive power.

Same shot, but different angle. The yard office/yard master's tower is in the background.

I thought these were interesting, I haven't seen them before. We just get plain mixed freight through Sykesville, nothing out of the ordinary.

One of my favorite shots, a MARC GP-40M behind a double-decker cab car I believe.

The yard turntable. This doesn't look like it has been used much either.

More CSX.

Same as before, different angle.

A row of six CSX Geeps.

The other end of the six.

A switch tower close to Brunswick station.

I hope you enjoy these pictures. As my first real railfanning trip, I had a blast taking these.
