robby79,

Try this...acrylic caulk in a tube. It's as easy as 1-2-3... and you can make rivers as well.

1.) Spread the caulk as is comes out of the tube with a paint brush with a little water mixed in, this will thin the caulk to a consistancy that you can work with.
2.) As the caulk starts to set up you can work in waves or leave the surface flat, whatever you like. Since this is acrylic material it is faily pliable for quite some time.
3.) You will note that the color of the caulk is brownish-gray, and can be painted over with acrylic craft paints ( ref. my topic on paints ) Then come back with a coat of clear gloss or better yet, Elmers clear school glue...that's right...it dries to a clear gloss. Another clear coat can be made with clear tub caulking, this works very well too.

Well...o.k. actually there are four steps. add the details, such as the shore line which will cover some of the "water" as it should.

These and many home-repair type products work really well on any hobby and surprisingly enough you might find some of them " bought in excessive amounts" by mistake to work into your model RR

Try anything that you might think works, most of the time it will.

Best of luck and get back to me with the results..eh ?

Just curious how to make a easy lake. I have the lake wax like material from woodland and just curious if there is anything else I can use.
