If the ditch lights are NOT flashing (alternating from side to side), then fiber should be ok. Of course if the are then you have to use the microbulbs!!
Good luck!! Icemanmike-Milwaukee

Fiber vs. Microbulbs....

I am going to be adding ditch lights to several of my Soo locos and want to know what would be better, using fiber optics or microbulbs.
The advantage that I see for using fiber is that when the bulb burns out you only have to replace one light in a pretty accessible location. Con, fiber is or can be very fragile and can't bend around tight corners.
Microbulbs use a smaller gauge wire making bends easier. Con, when the bulb burns out you have to replcae the whole thing.
Any suggestions or thoughts?
