I just ordered 2 from the pusher also...he said it should be here between October and December...just in time for Christmas!...maybe my wife will pay the credit card bill as a christmas present!...[:D]....it's my favorite locomotive..i remember them as a teenager pulling strings of SP open bay hoppers to the Beckman limestone quarry and boxcars full of Coors beer to a distribution center behind my house in San Antonio where i grew up...chuck

Should be ready for the January '06 session - I assume that there won't be one in December...

Congrats, Jeff!
You'll have to bring it by and we'll give it the Siskiyou Line Roseburg yard job one of these sessions!

Well, I gave my credit card number to a local pusher yesterday... so my G&W #45 "gold" is now officially on order.

Atlas is doing three different body styles based on the air filter. One thing they aren't doing is the SP specific lighting.
Which is really okay... I almost think Espee modelers out there would grump if they didn't have to show off by modifying everything in sight with gyralights and big red jewel lenses.

I'd be interested in the AC version. The Soo Line took over the railroad I live along (the old Minneapolis Northfield and Southern) in 1982, later in the eighties they took over the Milwaukee Road and in the mid-late eighties they used Milw MP15AC's on that line...usually in that horrid quickie 'blackout' paint scheme, I'd prefer one in regular Milwaukee livery. :)

The Atlas one (the DC) should be very nice!
There is a pre-production photo on the Atlas web site:
http://www.atlasrr.com/
along with the features.
(I can't link it directly - look under "Products")
Also the projected delivery date is given.

Well..looks like i'm going to have to wait until this fall to get my hands on the new MP15 AC or DC diesel switchers...there's a lot of LHS's taking orders now, but fall is still al long way's off...any thoughts from you guys on this switcher...They've used them on the UP and the SP for years but the only one's done in models were in brass and way out of my pocket book range....I believe the DC will be from Atlas and the AC from Athearn...chuck
