They are both the same units. You don't need both controllers if you have BLI and Atlas sound locos, the one controller works them both - since they have the same QSI decoders. On older BLI locos, all the buttons won't work, but on the newer ones, as well as the Atlas and Proto2000 that have the newer QSI decoders with what they call QARC, that controller will be fully functional for DC users.

Hello,

I think you are talking about the Atlas Quantum Engineer Controller. If you go to http://www.atlasrr.com/ they have some more info on it. Broadway Limited is also coming out with one(its the same think as the Atlas controller, but its for Broadway Limited Locos)

Anyone herd??? i was at my LHP the otherday and he showed me that atlas came out with a sound unit for DC users ,havent bought one yet ,i was woundering if any of you have tried it out yet,,i do know the loco has to be sound equipted..for it to work.
