QUOTE: I have discovered that to create sub albums you need to make a donation, I think I'll give them a $20.

Actually that's what I thought too, but couldn't find the part that talked about it. But I kind of remembered it being that way from when I sent in my contribution. I've just been too lazy to bother requesting the sub albums because it means I'll have to rearrange my photos in my album!

QUOTE: Small price to pay for a great service.

Good for you! And I agree it's a great service.

If however you are happy with everything in one album its free.

Have fun & be safe

It's free. They do ask for donations to help fund the site, but it's not required. There are a lot of posters here who use it.

Is the railimages site a freebie or do they charge a monthly fee? Thanks.

I haven't done it yet, so I'm not exactly sure. But I went over to TrainBoard, and on the RailImages Support forum I found a thread that talked about it. Basic advice was:

After you log in just go to administrative options and click on "new nested album". This will create a sub-album. Then click on the sub-album and go to the options and name it and start down-loading photos.

The thread that discusses this is:

If that doesn't work for you my suggestion is to go over to TrainBoard, and post the question on the RailImages Support forum. TrainBoard and RailImages are run by the same people. The direct link to that forum is:

Good luck,

Ed

Question regarding railimages.com albums.
Posted by ukguy on Friday, June 3, 2005 3:18 PM
Just a quick question for the railimages.com users out there.

How do I create separate albums for my pictures so I can organise them into categories, ie: one for benchwork, one for scenery, one for..... you get the idea.

Many thanks for any help offered.

Karl.
