According to my Brown Book PFM imported 535 of these at a list price of $180.00 in 1977, if I remember correctly MR did a review of these and some of the dimensions were incorrect.
This was early in the Korean Brass era and some of these were not made well but for what you paid for it, it is a good value.

I purchased a PFM Northern Pacific Y-1 2-8-0 made by Samhongsa in Korea.

I paid £96 (about $170) for it (from the UK) is this a good price for this item? I don't know alot about HO Brass so can someone give me a little more information on it - i.e when it was made, what its background is etc?
