One that fits and has the features you desire. Lenz, Digitrax, TCS, NCE and others offer suitable decoders.

I have 5 of the Russians and I've installed Digitrax DP-123PS decoders in them. It's a pure plug in replacement for the jumper assembly that Bachmann provides. They run great either on DC or DCC.

I would really like to have sound in at least a couple of them but I'm just not really happy with the exhaust sounds from Soundtraxx units I've heard. They're very mushy sounding and just not crisp or clear enough to please me. I guess having PFM sound for a long time spoiled me for quality sounds.

Any decoder with an NMRA plug on the end of a wiring harness, such as a Train Control Systems T-1. I have 3 of these locomotives, and put SoundTraxx sound decoders into them. If you're interested in sound, SoundTraxx makes a decoder with sounds that were specific to this type of locomotive.
