The Trainline 60-footers are great. The only thing I've done to mine (undecs) was paint 'em and add Kadee 58's.

The reason that Walthers is only coming out with "flashy" paint schemes is simple: they sell. I'm sure the line of logic goes: "We've given them undecs that they can paint themselves; what more do they want?" Even the new line of full-sized Walthers heavies are coming mostly in circus schemes, and not God-fearing Pullman green like they're supposed to (I want about 4-6 of the new heavies, and every one I'll be getting will be painted, unlettered PG, just because they don't make what I need!)

You can probably get SP heavy decals from Champ. Microscale MIGHT have a line of SP green lettering, but don't hold your breath. And I'd suggest NOT using Floquil Pullman Green: it's too light.

Rivarossi / Walthers Trainline 60' Heavyweights.

Hi There,

I have just purchased a Rivarossi four car set of the SP 60' Heavyweights - they look like great models - does anyone have any views or tips on them?

Also - why on earth are Walthers not carrying on with the SP Green livery in their Trainline range? The Lark colors are great, but seeing as Rivarossi never made the Green cars separately, I do not want to have to buy three or four sets - just to get four coaches (then be stuck with four RPOs etc!). Does anyone have any inside information as to what liveries Walthers will be producing next - I hope SP Green in on the cards!

I am also thinking of getting a rake of the Walthers Pullman Built Heavyweight cars - anyone got any views on them - do they make the Spectrum Heavyweights dated or could they be integrated into a rake with each other? I'm going to ask again - why not produce them in SP Green or Daylight colors?!

Regards,

Stephen.
