Most HO structures are usable. Most of the doors are to the modern height which scales out to the smaller 1860's-70's doorways. The door on the passenger car ends was usually about 74" to give a gauge of size. I know visiting historical sites how much smaller everything was at one time. The majority of the cheaper plastic structures are coarse enough in texture to be OO.

it looks like the conversion from On30 to OO/HO is going well . who knew that all that old , slightly too large for HO equipment would be so useful . what about structures ? are you planning to scratch build everything ?

I have found an HO kit that will make an 1870's 4-wheel caboose. The Silver Streak bobber scale's out to the caboose in the 1879 Car Builders dictionary.

It is available from Ye Old Huff and Puff
