Hi, Folks...
I just completed one of the new Walthers Gas Holders in HO and I'm really impressed with this kit... Walthers tooling work is really improving these days. The kit sections assembled flawlessly and it builds into a pretty impressive structure... IF you have the space! All the tank segments fit together nicely and even the railings fell into place just right!
The plant where I work had several of these gas holders and that's why this particular kit is one of my favorites. The real ones were a maintenance headache, especially in the winter when the water would freeze or the roller guides would stick! Steam lines were run in the seal areas to keep the water liquid in the seals!
Walthers does seem to be "monopolising" the hobby but they are filling a niche with some of the terrific products that they are offering!
