Thanks for all the great input.
But if you are after speed, Look for slot cars. LOL... I also have two LL-P2K E8/9's as i understand it they are one of the fastest at over 65 MPH. and they are able to pul around 200 coachers on flat track.
As far as the SD-60, Does any know if it is in a MAC or just low nose?

I must admit Life -LikeP2K are some pretty good Loco's.I have 4 of them.their prices are fair and they are just as good as Atlas&Kato far as price wise.I had mine since 1994 no problem with it.Just purchase one awhile back full of details no need to add any, just keep it lubed & greesed and it will run good it has for me.

Gee whiz Larry, with perishables on-board you don't need gridlock.
Look what happen in Houston two years back.

For me,I really love that slow speed-perfect for yard and local work.At the club I love the GP7/9s in a 3 unit consist. The speed is right on IMHO.

I have had excellent service from LL. On problems P2K units I had a replacement chassis on the 8th day after they received my loco.
Great warranty and great prices thru trainworld.
On speed, my three E7s and three PAs fly. The GPs are a lot slower.
I don't own the SD60 put I think they top out around 50MPH but can haul up to 90 cars on straight & level track per MR Oct 2000

I agree, Proto 2000's engines are some of the nicest out there. My only question is, why are they so S-L-O-W when they run?

Hi all.
I would like to tell you all what a great companey Life Like is.
EG. I droped a Life Like Proto 2000, GP-18 i have, and after sending an email to the company asking how to order a new body shell? Without the least bit of hassle I found a package containing a new body shell in the mail. And I live in AUSTRALIA. and did not charge me for the postage.
And to top that the detail and power of there locos for the cost you pay. How could you not look at stocking your railroad with Proto 2000.
