Yes, we are close to the mainlines of UP BNSF and a local RXR called the PORTLAND-WILLAMETTE, it runs from the town of Tillamook on the coast though Sherwood to Corvallis (former SP trackage) And yes, we have Amtrak come though also.
I'll talk to you soon I got to get the sand out of my ears!!!!!:) LOL

Hey! Before you go, tell us about prototype railroading in your area!

I'm assuming you're located near an ex-GN/NP mainline, now BNSF. Do you get Amtrak through there as well?

TrainsRme,

I hope that I can see the Pacific Northwest someday. I would love to ride the Mt. Hood Railway.

Friendly suggestion: Click on your beginning post and edit your spelling so the "Tarins" teasing will simmer down. It's all good natured, though.

Tisk, tisk, I thought everyone knew what "Tarins" were, but just in case you've all forgotten I refreash your memories. "Tarins" are those invisible little "Farts" that lie in wait for a train to come along, then knock it off the track. You can't find the problem because it was caused by "Tarins". SEEEEEEEEEEE!

Uhm, yeh! LOL I always read my posts twice and post once after previewing them. Then I read them after they are posted, go back and correct the typos that I find (once a teacher, always a teacher). After two or three trys at editing the post, I go to another thread. Two days later I will go back to the thread I posted to and see the mispelled words jump out at me.... the gramatical mistakes staring at me and wonder what the &^%% I was doing when I posted that. Might just as well have some good natured fun........ [:D]

Oh! SpaceMouse, with 4670 posts you no longer qualify as a NEW guy!!!

Notice the post has already been edited

[8D]Greetings from TrainsRMe & Mrs TrainsRme how has everybody been doing? I haven't been on line for a while because we have been busy tending to other things, BUT there has been time to work on our layout[:D] It's coming along fine eventough we change it around three times.
Since we are coming close to summer what plans do my MRXR friends have in ways of attending RXR shows railfanning or what.
If you travel here to the Pacific NW make sure to come to our PORTLAND ROSE FESTIVAL in early June see the Grand FLoral Parade and visit The Columbia Gorge Lines MRXR club[;)] They have a bulding sized HO layout of this area. Go on line under modelrailroad clubs of the PACIFIC NW (railserve.com) and get the info!! hope to see you there[:)] Let us know what you think
Take care
