Got some beer cars that are great fun!

Hi Guys,
No, I'm not a salesman for Greenway Products. I'm just anxious to share a great website for a company that sells a great bunch of fun products for us modelers.

Last February, I attended the Amherst Train Show in Springfield, Massachusetts. I met a guy there named Al, who runs a company called "Greenway Products". He had several custom painted beer cars and I found a couple of perfect ones to use on my layout where I have modeled a brewery. He also custom paints engines.

I recently went to their website www.greenwayproducts.com and found they have added several new beer cars to their inventory and after looking them over (he took great photos for his site) , I just had to buy 9 of them. I know they're not prototypical but heck, they will look great running on my layout. In fact, when the cars arrived, I told Al that his pictures, while good, didn't do the cars justice. I also ended up ordering a custom painted Boston & Albany caboose and boxcar.

Anyway, I thought some of you folks who haven't had the benefit of meeting Al at a train show might enjoy his website and all the neat available products. If you do call Al to place an order, be sure to tell him Armando says hello.

Enjoy.

I'm disappointed....over 50 views of my topic and not one person replied to tell me what they thought of the Greenway Products website. How did you like the beer cars?

C'mon guys. What did you think?

My brother's idea of beer car is a flat car on a point to point layout that makes runs to the fridge during football games brings back a brew..

They look super! Not prototypical, maybe, but who would give a #$%@? They look like they are nicely finished, and even come with a knuckle coupler . I would seriously consider buying one for my free-lanced railroad.

Thanks for the tip.

I have purchased Greenway's beer cars since 1997. I own at least 8 or 9 of them. They made alot of Wisconsin breweries. They have also a Jack Daniels, and a Jim Beam car. They hae made a few other interesting cars such as an IRS car, and a Wallstreet car. All in all they are superb looking!

Too bad the 'B' units for the F3s and F7s are unpowered. Prices seem reasonable.

Prototypical they would not be but they would be perfect to get the attention of non rail fans looking at the layout. Good way to spread the hobby.
