Actually, we have a bunch of new diesel offerings thus far: LL GP20, DL-109, Kato SD70M, Con Cor MP15DC, Atlas MP15AC (or perhaps is the other way around), Bachmann Amtrak Acela, and the Kato F40PH. Then there's the new PrecisionCraft E7A and E7B, both available with sound. Toss in new roadnames of ongoing releases (Kato SD70MAC, Atlas RS-1, Atlas GP38, LL SW600/800,etc, etc), and its not too shabby on the diesel front either.

jmho but I think it's just that the last two years had so many new releases that this year seems a bit pale by comparison. We're still not doing too bad.

We ought to get three new steam locos this year, MP 4-4-0, MP 2-6-0, and Spectrum 2-10-0. Plus re-release of the old MDC 2-6-0 by Athearn with new road names. Plus the delivery of the undecorated Atlas Shays.

Atlas, M-T, and Intermountain keep announcing new cars and stuff each month.

Walthers is coming out with new N scale buildings.

I don't keep track of new diseasel announcements much, but I know we have at least one new offering coming from Atlas this year.

It could also be that I'm just not looking for that much new stuff so the number of releases seems okay to me. Of course I am waiting for those three steam locos, and still praying for Bachmann to get their 4-6-0 back on track for release instead of on indefinite hold.

Regards

Ed

New N-scale product releases?

Is it just me, or does it seem that there are less new products coming out in N-scale than there were just a few years ago? Maybe I'm more sensitive to the market, since I switched from HO to N, but I honestly think I see a trend...
