?? about airbrush compressors. Paascha still good?

Need to tap the collective information here...

I was given a old Paacha Air compressor that my uncle used for his painting. I am guessing that it is atleast 40 year sold. I know it has been in storage for 30 before I got it. It has been working wonderful and have been very happy with it.... But I belive tonight, it finally gave up the ghost.

I was painting tonight and noticed that the air presure was dropping and dropping until it barley breathed. My guess is some sela inside finally cracked from benig dried.. In all honesty, I was shocked that it even worked when I got at Christmas time... So I have several questions, if you can answer one great, anseer them all, even better. Looking for facts and opionin too....[:D]

1) Is a Paacha aircompressor rebuildable? Is it worth it? Anything that is known for going out? ( i.e. A certain seal?)

2) If I were to buy a new, is the Paacha name still a good one? (I am very impressed with this one, it lastest ths long). I have seen they are still for sale..

Thanks again..

Best Regards

John,
I can't tell you anything about the quality of their compressor, but their air brush is very good. Because of the age of the compressor, I would first suspect that the diaphram has rotted and needs replaced. This is an easy and cheap replacement.

Send them an email and describe the problem to them. They also have a number to call for tech help. http://www.paascheairbrush.com/

For what it's worth, the name is Paasche. Might be easier contacting them if their name is correct! [:D]
