Coffee Shop Anniversary - a Contest
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, April 28, 2005 12:58 PM
OK people, the exact moment of the Coffee Shop 1-Year Anniversary is less than 3 hours away. We know when that time will occur: 06:54:45 CDT today! But we still have no way of knowing who will be the first member to post in the Coffee Shop thread immediately after that moment.

For that reason, the Coffee Shop Planning Committee is sponsoring a contest where two individuals can be eligible for the GRAND PRIZE:

An All-U-Can-Eat-and-Drink coupon
for
SiberianMo’s “Our Place”

To win this highly coveted prize, you must either:
(1) be the first person to post a 'reply' in the Coffee Shop after the above time, or
(2) identify the first poster described above – start a new GD ‘topic’ titled “1st Anniversary Poster Identified” and tell us all who the lucky person is (online ID only please) and the exact time the message got posted.

The timestamp on the posting will determine the winner.

Both of you will receive the Our Place coupon, redeemable online at the Coffee Shop Anniversary Party. (BTW – sharing the food with your friends is permitted and encouraged!)[;)]

Good Luck!

I guess this means I'll have to sweep the floors!

"Our" Place is opened for business every day except Sunday. There's a mail slot on the front door for anyone wishing to drop off a commentary or two when we're not in.

Fridays and Saturdays are the best nights to eat at "Our" Place ... steaks and fries are the specialty of the house. Since we're not really a restaurant - a Bar 'n Grill is more like it - the menu is a simple affair. I think you'll like it.

We've hooked up with the Anniversary Committee for "The Coffee Shop" and came up with this idea, since we've got the adult beverages license.

Oh yeah - two pool tables in the back room, an old fashioned juke box (5 plays for a quarter) and some of the finest sandwiches either side of the Rockies.

So, good luck to y'all and hope to see you at the Anniversary Party tomorrow.

See ya![tup][;)]

Hey guys! This is really not rocket surgery (?) It goes like this[banghead]:

The Anniversary Party is at "The Coffee Shop" .....

"Our" Place (over on Classic Trains forum) is providing all adult beverages - on the house - aka: FREE! Also, steaks & fries plus very large sandwiches on freshly baked breads with fresh lunchmeats ......[;)]

If you check out the doors on "Our" Place you'll notice they are doubles - haven't met a man yet who couldn't make it through. Some have problems navigating themselves out, though![}:)]

And, yes - there is a patio out back, shared with the critters inhabiting the area.[}:)]

A great feature about this cyber bar 'n grill, is that it can be anywhere you'd like it to be! The layout, by the way, is called Can-Am ....... for a good reason![;)] I prefer to think of it as being "up north."[;)]

All the food & drinks at "Our" Place is the prize. So, good luck to the winnah! [tup]

See y'all at the Anniversary party! Wooo hoooo (as the modern chant goes .....), or is that a mounful train sound?[:0]
