Martin
Offering items for sale is not allowed on this forum. It would be better if you put it up for auction on Ebay.
On the other hand, if you want to know what is causing the problem, you can edit your post to ask for help. I don't own a Kato loco so I can't help you there, but I'm sure others will.

Martin,

Hello and welcome aboard! I'm sure most of us here hope that this won't be your only post. [:D]

Regarding your locomotive. It seems like you're giving up too easily. In many cases problems like what you are describing can be repaired after some minor trouble shooting and assembly. Kato locos are known for their good quality, but as with all manufacturers, glitches do slip through every now and then. [:p] Often times, they're minor, such as a bent shaft, binding in a drive coupling, cracked or broken gear, axle housing, etc.

Numerous members here own Katos, so it's likely that a few will chime in with troubleshooting suggestions, if you so wish.

I'm looking forward to getting at least one Kato SD45 later this year. (As a teacher, budgeting is mandatory!)

Take care and keep posting![:)][:D][8D][;)]

"I like my Pullman Standards & Budds in Stainless Steel flavors, thank you!"

You should be able to get a few suggestions here. Perhaps a little more info to us would help. If not, call KATO USA in Schaumberg Illinois(Central Time) and ask for Leon. He use to run a LHS next burb over.

And by the way, WELCOME ABOARD!

Had a SD45 do this and think it was the circuit board, I think it had some kind of short in it. I hard wired it and no more problems with it now.
