I found this de-oxidizer pen at Edmund Scientifics. It supposedly cleans, preserves, improves electrical conductivity. Looks good for wheels, $14.95. Anybody tried it?

How does it work? I've seen fibreglass "pencils" (where you turn the top to extend a fibreglass "rod" which is then used as an abrasive) and they were pretty good for cleaning stuff, I've also seen an idea that you can use them to fade paintwork by gently running them over the model though I've not tried this!

It uses a fluid called "DeoxIT D100". No info on if it's safe for plastics.
