NW and MP switchers... did I hear right?

I could have sworn I read somewhere that Atlas, Athearn and I think somebody else, were designing NW2 and MP15 switchers for release sometime this year. Did I hear right? I can't find any info on the article I read, but I was under the impression there was a survey done of what hobbyists wanted to see next in the diesel lineup of loco manufacturers like Atlas and Athearn. If anybody can give me a reference point to find out more info on the development and release dates, I'd appreciate it.
Also, who makes SW1500's now? Athearn used to, but I can't find any in stock anywhere. I'm designing/building my layout now and I'm going DCC only, so DCC ready modern era SW1000 up to SW1500's are also on the 'need to buy' list if I can't find MP15's.
Thanks!

Atlas has announced an EMD MP15DC, see:

I'd wait for that one.
ConCor has an MP15DC model, needs Smokel Valley handrails and many other details. See:

"02-03-05 Athearn announced MP15AC and SD45-2 locos that are expected late 05. If you are not signed up for the Athearn News, you should. The info is good and they are really sticking to delivery timetable with very little overproduction."

You are correct BLI is releasing the NW2 and SW7. They're also releasing some F unit EMD's later as well.

Athearn made its most recent run of SW1500s a few months ago. Some are still available.
