Thanks Antonio. I think it looks much neater and easier to read than a long url address.
How to add a description to a link is shown in the FAQ section under Creating a Hyperlink in your message.

If you use this tag: [url="linkto"]description[/url] you can add a description to the link. (as a short cut, I copy and paste the url address from the Windows address bar)

Example:
blah blah blah [url="http://www.trains.com/community/forum/topic"]This post[/url]
Outputs This:
Go to This post

I have found that if you want to know how someone put some symbol, etc. on in his message, use the quote feature and you can see what the code is, a bit like reverse engineering it.
