I swore I wasn't going to purchase a new locomotive but since i needed some #5 kadee couplers..well...guess what?..I ordered a new Athearn SP (with speed lettering) SD 4T-2 ...it's going to be a 60 day delivery period from trainworld so that will give me enough time to save up some change in my piggy bank to pay for the darn thing...that's all i need..another locomotive!..is there no end to this madness?...[:D] chuck

Makes perfect sense to me. If your gonna order more couplers, might as well order a new engine too. LOL
The trick is to dirty up the box a tad as soon as they arrive to convince the wife you had then for a long long time. Honest dear...
Just had to order two myself since they decided to run them in B&LE.
And thats it NO MORE engines, I swear.

It's more like an addiction...... We have A local train store here in town and I just can't seem to stay away from it. I go there about two or three times A week and buy rolling stock. Next trip maybe A new steam loco.

Chuck...There is a treatment for this addiction of purchasing motive power and rolling stock.
I have been undergoing treatment for ATLHS..( addiction to Local Hobbie Shops) this past month and even visited a hobbie shop with a friend last monday...Mind you I did not purchass anything....enjoyed the two hour...mind you Sir...I said two hours in the LHS, other then a sprained back helping my friend load up his SUV with his goodies, and my treatment is really taking hold, a first for me...wallet and/or plastic untouched.

Im not out of the woods yet, but see no degression in my behavior as the cure is self induced, over a three month period.

Actually it...come to think of ....coincides with the delivery of a DCC. There after I may not be responsable for myself.....Hmmm...Did you say SD40 T-2 ....Hmmmm...in spedo lettering...Hmmmm

So you have an extra engine, its a spare in case one of the others has a broken coupler; yeah that it.
I only have about 20 extra, but I don't consider this to be a problem. But everyone knows denial is the first phase of any addiction.

Half of my life I've been playing with trains; the rest I just wasted.
